So my Thursday, May 27th was spent going to Costco, assisting with an event at the Elementary School, dropping off a check for the summer movie program season tickets for HPE, dinner then the PLMS awards show. Kelsey was alarmingly moody but I think she is just sad about leaving the comfortable middle school cocoon. Friday greeted me with the final bus stop walk, hurried ride to school with the teenager then off to my own little weekend of debauchery.
This process is usually pretty simple. My parents watch Will part of the weekend, Chris' parents watch Will part of the weekend and Kelsey goes to the lake with her grandmother. This was not the case this year. Kelsey wanted to attend some end-of-the-school-year festivities and my mom couldn't make it to our house until 4:30p and the kids were getting out of school at noon. Of course Kelsey's party was to start immediately after school. So I managed to make arrangements for Kelsey to do what she wanted and for Will to play with a neighbor friend long enough for my mom to get here. Thank you, Debbie! Then, Will began throwing up...8 times Saturday and we finally got rid of the fever yesterday at noon so he is really anxious to get his summer on. We are heading to the pool...
