I used to work in RETAIL, yuck, trust me, yuck. I managed a Circuit City store at the *peak* of my success. A title many would be proud to have, but I hated it. I felt like my life hadn't begun and what was the use in working if I couldn't LIVE. I was paying someone else to raise my family and I got a couple of hours with my family 5 nights a week and maybe another 1/2 day here or there...it was not healthy. The family suffered, I suffered. I slipped into a depression and then my husband was fortunate and talented enough to move up the ladder fairly quickly. This made it possible for me to stay at home and make family a priority.
I knew I would want to make some money somehow. We are able to pay the bills and save up for vacations but we can't quite afford a boat and we would like to move to a nicer climate...so we need an additional income. I have been looking for 2 years for an answer to this question.
What can I do to make
I then decided I would be the "best mom ever" and be the PTA President. A week after I took office my husband came home and asked me if I wanted to be a Scentsy consultant.
I was a PTA-Mom at Highland Park Elementary with some moms who sold Scentsy but I had not actually bought anything. One of those moms, a director, asked my husband to quote her a bid on overhauling her website and giving it an SEO boost, etc. He came home and immediately told me I needed to sign up. I hadn't paid any attention to the product, writing it off as another Partylite business but once I really looked at the Scentsy products and smelled the 80 scents, I fell in love with it. Scentsy Candles are the best! So begins my journey into a world where the mind literally knows no time limits and I can make it all happen for our family.
All this WITH my husband's steadfast support, literally-technically-emotionally-figuratively, you know, all that.
